The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 “Olive” is a neutral based colorway of the popular lifestyle shoe designed by the New York clothing brand. The 550 model was brought back by Aimé Leon Dore in 2020 when Teddy Santis, “ALD’s” founder and lead designer, found the shoe while combing through New Balance’s archives for design inspiration. On the “Olive” colorway, details include a cream perforated leather construction with contrasting brown “N” branding on either side of the shoe. Olive green “550” branding appears on the forefoot and dual “Aimé Leon Dore” and “New Balance” branding is located on the heel of the left and right shoe, respectively. Additional olive accenting comes into play on the leather overlay on the collar, the trim on the sides near the midsole, and on the “New Balance 550” details on the tongue. Underfoot, a thick, vintage-inspired cream rubber midsole completes the look. Release date: June 21, 2022
